About Me

Megan Reilly is freelance writer based in Santa Monica, California. Since moving to the area two years prior, fresh from the land of agriculture (California's Central Valley), what had started as a few articles and ghostwriting assignments has steadily turned into a business that Megan is grateful for and proud of.

A former newspaper journalist and a current self-proclaimed "features-holic," Megan credits her fascination with both publicity and features writing from her time as Marketing Director at Linden Publishing. She thought that she had dealt with every kind of fascinating character imaginable in city council and school board meetings as a reporter, then quickly learned that authors have the most interesting stories to tell by far. Megan has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism with a broadcast emphasis and a caffeine-induced/sweet-tooth craving for coffee and chocolate. Graduate school for a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting at California State University, Fullerton is slated for the Fall.

As for how seriously she takes every single one of her creative endeavors as they relate to her freelance writing career to date, Oscar Wilde describes her philosophy best: "It is what you read when you don't have to that determines who you will be when you can't help it."
